Growing the Corrigan Krause team and promoting our professionals allows us to build the strongest and most effective team for our clients. During this unique and challenging year, our team more than rose to the challenge, working together to keep our clients informed and up to date on financial and legislative changes. A number of our professionals developed their skills and earned a much deserved promotion.

We are pleased to announce the promotion of the following eight employees:

Kaitlin Dorsch has been promoted form Manager to Senior Manager.

Kaitlin joined Corrigan Krause in 2019 as a manager with ten years in the accounting industry. Kaitlin leads the Not-for-Profit specialty group where she provides consulting auditing, reviews, compilations and prepared financials. Her favorite part about working with her clients is educating them on how to most effectively run their non-for-profits and act as a sounding board and support through big decisions.

Luke Krevh has been promoted from Manager to Senior Manager.

Luke interned at Corrigan Krause in 2012, and then spent three years at a big four firm. He returned to Corrigan Krause in 2017 and now leads our Mayfield Heights office. He uses his experience with the firm to tackle client problems quickly and effectively. His clients appreciate his responsiveness and knowledge, though Luke says one of the most beneficial parts of working at Corrigan Krause is the opportunity to learn even more from interacting with his co-workers. With his goal-oriented team mentality and easygoing nature, Luke’s peers enjoy working with him on tough projects. Luke is also a member of the manufacturing specialty group.

Akta Parikh has been promoted from Supervisor to Manager.

Akta enjoys learning what businesses do and how they do it, and assisting companies with their financial needs. Prior to joining Corrigan Krause, Akta was a teaching assistant at the University of Pittsburgh for the MBA financial accounting course as she was completing her master’s degree in Accounting. She received her bachelor’s degree from Gujarat University and she is also a Chartered Accountant in India. Akta’s experience with two different cultures has given her a unique perspective on dealing with clients. Akta is also a member of the manufacturing specialty group.

Doug Rames has been promoted from Supervisor to Manager.

Doug worked in public accounting for five years and another two in industry accounting before joining Corrigan Krause in 2019 as a senior associate. He has since moved into a manager position and works in a variety of areas. Doug is a part of the Assurance Services team, focusing on construction and employee benefit plan clients. He’s also part of the Corrigan Krause COVID-19 Crisis Response team, assisting small businesses with loans and other relief opportunities.

Scott Serfozo has been promoted from Supervisor to Manager.

Scott is a manager in our Tax department. He initially started his career as a staff attorney, but decided to change his path and moved to the world of accounting. Scott leads our real estate specialty team where he works with closely-held businesses to help facilitate growth and maximize tax savings.

Justin Spooner has been promoted from Senior Associate to Supervisor.

Justin joined Corrigan Krause in 2018 and is a member of the Tax Department. He focuses on estate, gift and trust tax preparation and planning.

Melissa Lustek has been promoted to Senior Associate.

Melissa officially joined Corrigan Krause in 2020 after two years of interning for our team. She is a member of the Assurance Department, specializing in employee benefit plan audits.

Megan Hiles has been promoted from Marketing & Business Development Manager to Chief Growth Officer.

As the Chief Growth Officer, Megan works with our leadership team to propel the firm forward by executing the strategic plan and long-term vision. Focused on internal and external growth, she will serve as a cross-functional catalyst to align and optimize firm-wide operations and activities. Megan will work closely with the marketing, business development, and HR teams to create new pathways to growth by optimizing resources, maximizing the impact of investment, and monitoring future trends.
