    Assurance Supervisor/Manager

    We are looking for an Assurance Services Supervisor/Manager to join our Assurance Services Department. This position requires a highly motivated individual capable of assuming immediate “in-charge” responsibilities on review and compilation engagements. This great opportunity involves handling multiple client engagements, special projects, supervising staff and review of work papers and financial statements. Working tax knowledge is assumed.

    The ideal candidate will be a team player first and foremost and help our Assurance Services Department and our firm as a whole, continue to push forward, innovate, grow, and succeed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
    • Assist clients with financial reporting requirements including compilation, review and audits
    • Assist in Firm administrative functions as assigned by team members
    • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
    • Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments.
    • Participate in performing and reviewing compilation, review and audit procedures

    Required Qualifications:

    Tax Manager/Senior Manager

    We are looking for a Tax Manager/Senior Manager to join our expanding Tax Department. This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience in reviewing a variety of types of tax returns. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with corporate and tax consulting, as well as the proven ability to advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services. This opportunity involves handling multiple engagements, special projects, in addition to supervising and training other team members.

    The ideal candidate will be a team player first and foremost and help our tax department and our firm as a whole, continue to push forward, innovate, grow, and succeed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Review complex individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns prepared by tax staff for accuracy
    • Supervise Associates, Senior Associates and Supervisors, provide feedback, and evaluate their progress
    • Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm
    • Assist in Firm administrative functions as assigned by the members
    • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
    • Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Tax, Accounting or related field

    • Experience with SALT is a plus

    Assurance Senior Associate

    We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Assurance Services Department. The ideal candidate is an individual with 2-4 years public accounting experience, including compilation and review engagements, business tax preparation and planning, and individual tax preparation and planning. This position also requires familiarity with servicing closely held businesses and business owners.

    The ideal candidate will be a team player first and foremost and help our Assurance Services Department and our firm as a whole, continue to push forward, innovate, grow, and succeed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
    • Assist clients with financial reporting requirements including compilation, review and audits
    • Provide accounting support and analyze accounting systems
    • Assist in Firm administrative functions as assigned by team members
    • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
    • Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm

    Tax Supervisor

    We are looking for a Supervisor to join our expanding Tax Department. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years’ public accounting tax experience and are CPAs or CPA candidates. Strong leadership skills are a must with a demonstrated ability to manage client relationships effectively. The right individual will have the ability to energetically lead and manage younger team members while also collaborating productively with firm leadership.

    Tax Senior Associate

    We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our expanding Tax Department. The ideal candidate is CPA or CPA candidate with 2-4 years’ public accounting tax experience ranging from individual and corporate tax knowledge and tax planning, research, review, consulting, and IRS examinations. Outstanding technical ability and oral and written communication skills are a must.

    The ideal candidate will be a team player first and foremost and help our tax department and our firm as a whole, continue to push forward, innovate, grow, and succeed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare complex individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns
    • Research and draft memorandum involving complex tax matters
    • Identify tax planning opportunities
    • Handle and resolve tax controversies
    • Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
    • Provide supervision, training and support to the engagement staff and promote open communication to the engagement partner and manager

    Clerical/Accounting Internship

    Corrigan Krause is looking to expand its accounting internship program by offering a two-year accounting internship program. The first-year introductory clerical internship would take place in spring 2021. The idea behind this approach is to introduce a new accounting student (sophomore) to the world of public accounting by completing a part-time clerical internship during tax season. The ideal student would return the second year Spring 2021 to complete a full-time Accounting Internship.

    The position will begin approximately January 15th and end in Mid-April 2021. The internship provides an insight into the necessary preparation in the real world of tax season. The intern will be responsible for processing incoming tax data, assisting tax professionals during tax preparation, and final processing of tax returns for clients. The position will also require performing clerical tasks such as copying, scanning, and filing client tax information.

    Requirements
    • College student majoring in Accounting – Sophomore year

    • Express a sincere interest with a commitment to complete a 2- year internship program

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT)

    • Strong organization skills

    • Willingness to learn new tasks

    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels including clients

    • Professional appearance

    • Friendly demeanor

    • Hours: 25-30 per week, but flexible around class schedule. Nights and weekends required as needed

    2021 Hybrid Accounting Intern

    Corrigan Krause offers a highly desired internship program for many reasons.     Internship Overview

    o Gain a basic understanding of tax preparation skills including the use of ProSystems fx tax software

    o Hands-on, year-end client work (trial balance, journal entries, workpapers, etc.)

    o Preparation of compiled financial statements, assist with reviews and audits

    o Collaboration with all levels from staff to partner

    o Full time, paid opportunity at 40 hours a week, with overtime as needed

    o Length of internship: approximately 3 months

    o Start date: January 18, 2021

    o End date: April Tax Day

    Candidate Qualifications

    o Sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or related major

    o Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

    o Self-starter with strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills who can interact with all levels of the organization

    o Proficiency with MS Office suite applications

    o Some working knowledge of financial software applications (QuickBooks, Quicken) is a plus, but NOT required

    o Takes initiative beyond routine responsibility

    o Is accountable to meet firm standards for attendance, punctuality, and meeting work deadlines as assigned
